    Description

This is a Red Cross postcard that was sent to the mother of Willis G. Lonergan when the ship on which he went overseas arrived at its destination.  It's only message is "I have Arrived Safely Overseas" and signed by the soldier.  The card has lost it's stamp or whatever was in the upper right corner as it appears not to have needed a stamp.  It also has apparent wear from having been cherished for a long time.
