Vintage Sony Sports Boombox CFD-980 Water Resistant CD Radio Cassette Tape Player HTF.
Sony CFD-980 MegaBass ESP Boombox! All functions work. It produces impressive clear sound. The radio works great, the cassette tape deck works great, the CD player is like most portable ones of this era. It is very picky and temperamental about which discs it wants to play. A CD being clean, with little to no scratches typically plays fine. If it is scratched or dirty, it probably won't even read the CD. The CD compartment could probably use a cleaning disc played on it to clean the lens. The radio antenna is missing, but it has no trouble picking up stations nice and clear. This is battery or power supply operated.
POWER CORD NOT INCLUDED. You do not have to use a Sony brand power supply. A generic power supply that lists it's Output as 9V will work.
The battery compartment is clean and still has the battery cover.
Runs fine on batteries if you do not have a 9V power supply readily available.
Some cosmetic wear from 20 years of normal use.  Nothing major. Has scratches and scuffs as pictured.
