    Wang Xizhi(303-361 A.D.) styled himself YiShao,was born in langya(now LinYi city,Shangdong Prov.) in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.His official tittle used to be up to Right Military Commander.Being preficient in every style of calligraphy and reputed as Calligraphy Sage,he enjoyed the greatest esteeom among the calligraphy cricles through the ages. "Lanting Preface" in running hand,"Huangting Script" and "Yueyi Theory" in regular script,and "Seventeen Notes" in cursive hand,were his most famous works.
    Its obverse side shows a portrait of Wang Xizhi by a painter in the Ming Dynasty and the reverse side shows a quotation of "Lanting Preface" with the background of Langya scenery.
